I often get asked, “Why do you paint mountains?”

And honestly… I don’t even hike.

But I’m drawn to them - not for where they are, but for how they feel.

There’s something about that early morning light on the peaks, or the glow of sunset across the water… a sense of stillness, depth, and possibility.

I don’t live near mountains, so I paint them from my imagination - from that feeling I carry with me.

These mountains are not from any time or place but exist solely in my imagination.
